The cover shows a dangerous situation. The telescope can cause a fire, and
it will burn the eyes of people looking through it.

Rainbow's End
- Barrier: MBAC-115
- CBL: 02C-570
- Type: gag
- Art: Carl Barks
- Script: [Carl Barks?]
- Hero: Huey, Dewey and Louie
- Submission: Not listed.
- Publication date: 1960, May-June
- Issue: Donald Duck 71
- Pages: 0 1/2
- Filled out with: [unknown material]
Layout:
Doesn't end with a full page.
Changes:
Possibly, this half page gag has been cut from a full page. As published
in The Carl Barks Library - Set II, the borders of the panels
look interrupted. At least, it seems that the bottom of the first tier,
and the top of the second tier have been added.
Status:
If changed, no cut art is known to have surfaced.
Questions:
What material fills out the comic book page?
Could this gag originally have been one of three
unidentified /disappeared Uncle Scrooge gags
submitted on October 1, 1958?

Additional credits:
Identification of illustrated non-Barks story is taken from Inducks.
(Title on the cover is "Treasure of Aztec-land", the title on the

Barrier erroneously attributes the
cover art to non-Barks story "The Golden Galleon".

- Type: cover, illustrating non-Barks story "Ambush at Thunder Mountain"
- Art: Carl Barks
- Script: [unknown]
- Hero: Donald Duck
- Submission: 1965, July 22
- Publication date: 1966, March
- Issue: Donald Duck 106
- Pages: 1
Additional credits:
"Ambush at Thunder Mountain" is a 14-page Donald Duck story written by
Vic Lockman, penciled by Tony Strobl, and inked by an unknown artist.
(Inducks: W DD 106-02)
Changes:
In Barks's original drawing for this cover (a pencil layout still exists), the
nephew in the foreground appeared to be bouncing up and down on the drum with
his bottom, instead of his feet. In the cover as published, a drawing of the
nephew by another artist has been substituted for Barks's drawing. The nephew
appears to be bouncing on the drum with his feet in the substituted drawing.

- Hero: Donald Duck
- Submission: [unknown]
- Publication date: 1968, January
- Issue: Donald Duck 117
- Pages: 1
Changes:
Barks's layout hasn't been followed very faithfully. In Barks's design,
there's more movement and vitality. An obvious difference is that in
Strobl's version, the tree has come loose off the ground.
Surviving material:
- CR DD 117a wolf pulling sled
- CR DD 117b gold wolf statue in box [cover design]
