Changes: Shortened from 14 pages to 13 pages in the published version by deleting one panel and reducing the width of a number of panels that were the width of the page: panels 3 and 6 of published page 3 (panels 3 and 6 of original page 2); panel 1 of published page 4 (panel 3 of original page 4); panels 7 and 8 of published page 4 (panels 3 and 4 of original page 5); and panels 5 and 8 of published page 9 (panels 3 and 6 of original page 10). The deleted panel belongs in between panel 2 and 3 of published page 4. It shows Donald lunging for the nephews' piggy bank, saying: "My speed career can be delayed no longer! I need this money!"
Surviving material: A Day in a Duck's Life [pencil script]
Reconstructions: H 98085 A Day in a Duck's Life [remake]
Remakes: See "reconstructions" field.
Changes: The sequence with the eagles is added, replacing Barks' key sequence of Donald using an "emergency kit" containing reel of fishline, hung on the seat bar by one of the nephews in order to secretly lead Donald to the target. Doing so, the weight on the end of the fish-line gets stuck in the whirling "whip cracker" of a carnival fair. Detailed information
Surviving material: Hang Gliders Be Hanged [story outline]
Appearances: Mount Demontooth (outline), Black Forest of Duckburg (outline).
