Made in the 1950s after reading three books from "Life" illustrator Ted Kautzsky:
"Ways with Watercolor"; "Trees and Landscapes in Watercolor"; "Master of Pencil
and Watercolor". Carl Barks had lots of fun with watercolors but decided to
wait until his retirement because it cost him too much of the time he had to
spend on comic book work.

Questions:
Has this material been published?
Judging from its measures, the upper part of the painting must be missing.
This part is filled in with an egal color to give an idea of how the layout
of the full watercolor may be. Possibly, also some art on the left is missing.
Does a picture of the full scene exist?
Does the lack of identification on the back mean that this watercolor must
have been made before 1967? Barks signature here looks different than the
fully capital lettered one on his 1967-1997 paintings. Could this be one
of the watercolors that Barks made in 1955/1956?
